I have to say that this story was awesome. My husband and I are making this together for my birthday tomorrow as we both remember it from our childhoods as the best cake ever! Thank you for the chuckle we both had as I read it to him!

My wife decided to cook this tonight and I am very glad she did!

I am a spoiled, picky brat when it comes to Italian food. I compare everything to how my mom and my relatives in Italy used to prepare it and am usually left missing something.

Now this tomato sauce is something my mom would be proud of: simple, quick and delicious. The taste of the tomatoes is not tainted by a plethora of ingredients, the texture is creamy and it sticks wonderfully to spaghetti.

Molto buono!

Mmmmm. These pictures are lovely and the food looks simply delicious. And I’m with Anne on the heirloom tomatoes. Been there, ate that.

I once worked under Chef Rob Ubhaus during his last days at Crystal Springs Golf resort. I am looking foward to indulging in his talents and knowledge as i go visit Resto and/or Rob’s Bistro..Being I am still in the food industry as a Line Cook I am interested to see more of Chef Rob’s talents in more dishes.
